Inspired by Vietnam’s timeless beauty and underexplored tourism potentials, #WhyVietnam campaign takes advantage of the emergence of social media, modern technology and online marketing channels to promote the most beautiful moments of Vietnam featuring its nature, people, culture and so on to the mass society in and outside Vietnam’s territory.
Sharing the best photos of Vietnam on social media.
#WhyVietnam inspires people to share the best photos about Vietnam on social media with the hashtag #WhyVietnam and a caption explaining why they love Vietnam and/or choose Vietnam as their destination. Each photo will not only portray a new angle about the culturally rich yet modern, dynamic and hospitable Vietnam but also represent locals and foreigners’ love for this beautiful country. Moreover, each photo also represents a different welcoming message about the friendliness and hospitality of Vietnam with a view to invite international friends to come and explore this country.
Vietnam with timeless charm is in need of spreading words about its beauty to international friends.
Upon participation in this photo contest, entrants have the chance of winning a Vietnam overland trip for 2 people worth up to 50 million VND. Vietjet – the main partner of the program also offers many pairs of return air tickets for domestic flights to the winners of the contest.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huong, representative of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said: “Vietnam’s beauty of nature, traditional cultural values and lifelong world heritage sites have always been the charms that define Vietnam in the eye of international friends. However, the image of Vietnam to international tourists is not on par with that of our neighborhood countries. #WhyVietnam is organized and expected to leverage Vietnam tourism by the end of this year by spreading messages and inspiring Vietnamese citizens and international friends to adore, choose and praise Vietnam as a dynamic, friendly and safe destination.”
Mr. Le Dac Lam, CEO of Vntrip.vn with Duong Thuy Linh, Miss Universe, call for people’s participation in joining #WhyVietnam campaign.
Mr. Le Dac Lam, CEO of Vntrip.vn – the partner of this campaign, said: “I’m very delighted that the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism trusts and selects Vntrip.vn as a partner in this campaign. Beside previous efforts to boost Vietnam tourism, this partnership demonstrates the aspiration of a local startup to contribute to the growth of national tourism in particular and to the country in general. This strategic approach of Vntrip.vn also corresponds to the Government’s vision to develop Vietnam tourism as a key economic sector with distinguishably cultural identities in order to compete with the tourism of other countries in the region and over the world.”
With the mission of letting Vietnam’s beauty be known, #WhyVietnam campaign receives support from various partners, including Vietjet Air, Ionah, The Curves, We Escape, Silk Path Hotel and other media partners such as VTVTrip, Hãy Cùng Hát Vang, Check in Vietnam, Wanderlust Tips Magazine and Travellive Magazine.
